I created some designs for this site during development, although they didn’t make it to the current version, I thought it would be a good idea to keep them around somewhere…
“admi_” Logo#
This logo was on the front page until 2025. It should represent a sysadmin typing “admin” as username to a login prompt. The “mi” highlight represents my initials as well the site. In the end I managed to make a blinking cursor in pure SVG - no JS/CSS required:
My Head#
I converted an old lowres photo of me into ascii then tried to use it on the site as logo… It was a really bad idea and a real pain to work with :) Dark/Light theme, fixed font size, whitespace problems to name a few… Eventually got converted to SVG but even that could not help it … so it got abandoned… The very first front page version even had Terminator red dot eyes, which completely threw off the CSS.
